Wolf Rock Dive Centre is located at Rainbow Beach, a small seaside community surrounded by the Cooloola National Park and on the doorstep to Fraser Island's Great Sandy National Park. It is just over an hours drive north of Noosa, via Gympie on the highway or up the beach by 4WD from Tewantin. The waters off Rainbow Beach are Marine Park with a 1.5km fishing exclusion zone around Wolf Rock. Water temperatures range from 19 to 27 degrees throughout the year. The main attraction is the resident population of the critically endangered grey nurse shark found here all year round. They are joined by the giant Queensland groper, eagle rays, leopard sharks, turtles, bull rays, manta rays and many pelagic species. A range of accommodation is found in Rainbow Beach from backpackers to luxury apartments.
