Misool Eco Resort

Misool Eco Resort is located on a private island in the remote southern part of Raja Ampat, Indonesia, surrounded by the 425 sq km No-Take Zone we established in 2005. We're nestled deep in a vast archipelago of uninhabited islands, at the very epicentre of marine biodiversity. Scientists have concluded that our area is home to the world's richest reefs.

Our resort island is fringed with powder-white beaches, protected by stunning clear lagoons and abundant reefs. Our nine guest cottages are built on stilts over the placid North Lagoon. All our buildings and walkways were built using salvaged and reclaimed tropical hardwoods, milled by hand and to our specifications by our own team.

Sites Visited:

We've explored over 60 dive sites within a one-hour boat ride of our resort, and there are many more waiting to be mapped. We are pleased to offer our guests 20 world-class dive sites within a 10 minute ride from the resort (and all within our 425 sq km No-Take Zone). Our House Reef is accessible from the veranda of your Water Cottage.

You can expect to see pristine and colourful reefs throbbing with fish life, abundant soft corals and massive gorgonian fans. Macro-enthusiasts will be thrilled, but can also expect to see manta rays, schooling mobula rays, and wobbegong sharks. The newly discovered 'Walking Shark' is also endemic to our region, making night-time appearances on our House Reef.
